The opening track immediately sets the stage for the thundering and heroic compositions to come. Bombastic outbreaks are accompanied by mighty percussion for the grander songs while other passages are dominated by a calm and divine atmosphere. The progression of the different sequences feels very well paced and the overall album and song structure leads to an interesting and worthwhile record in the vein of Thangorodrim and Murgrind.
Favorite track: The Black Fortress Snow Covered.

A cold journey through the snow-capped mountains.
I remember, wandered for a long time in the snowy woods, going deep into this dark forests, hear the whispers of the trees, the icy howl of the wind blowing over the foggy mountains. I remember, perceiving this black castle where I could hear the horns from the old tower, so many knights rode alongside the black prince, setting out to conquer towns and medieval cities...
All music was recorded in 2019 in a deep and cold french countryside in winter, where the dark medieval legends come to life through the freezing cold of the mountains.
